Refleksione in partnership with CEMT, ( Center for Evaluation, Monitoring & Training) has restarted with an additional focus: support to domestivc violence cases during the lockdown., its project on preventing the Violence Against Women, (VAW) before it happens, supported by the German Embassy, Tirana which was lainched this year, on February and suspended corona pandemic lockdown.
Our updated project “Preventing Violence Against Women before it happens, supporting DV cases in post corona lockdown times” address VAW as a serious concern and a widespread violation of human rights, that prevent women full and equal participation in the society.
During corona lockdown period women found themselves under the same roof with their perpetrator / abuser and under the threat of a double pandemic: corona virus and another shadow pandemic, such as domestic violence.
Thanks to an additional support of the German Embassy we are as well responding to the urgent need for psychological support and mental health care to DV cases occurred during the corona lockdown and the need for strengthening the awareness of local women communities to address violence legally taking advantage of the last improvements of legal framework to better prevent and tackle VAW.
The aim of our project is to strengthen the prevention of VAW and support Domestic Violence cases in post corona lockdown times at the local level based on information, legal education and raising awareness on women rights and law enforcement.
Refleksione is implementing this project in 12 municipalities: Berat, Elbasan, Fier, Lezha, Lushnja, Permet, Pogradec, Kavaja, Korça, Roskovec, Shkodra and Vlora.
